I bet your older friends all tell you that you're so mature for your age. How cute.

Generalize much?

To respond with another generalization, Old People (particularly males) are too set in their ways to think clearly and often act out of habit rather than logic. They just cannot help themselves. I find it very difficult to take a man in his 50's, 60's, or older seriously, as 9 times out of 10 they don't care what the hell they are talking about, as long as it sounded good in the past.
We can do this all day, hawkeye.

Fine. The proof is in the pudding. I suppose that is why-

1. young males commit more crimes
2. yong males are more inclined to use drugs
3. young males are more likely to be unemployed
4. young males have higher divorce rates
5. young males have higher numbers of auto accidents
6. young males have a higher incidence of STDs

If youth was blessed with greater wisdom and judgement, they would be wealthy and successful. They are not.

There is a reason why older citizens are more well to do- they are smarter and do not make the same mistakes as the youngsters.

I think it'd be more accurate to say they learned from the mistakes they made when they were youngsters. It's kinda hard to become an old citizen without being a youngster at one point.

Facebook went down this morning for several hours. I bet 95% of kids between 13 and 25 thought the apocalypse started its last ticks.

No they all logged into their Twitter accounts

Quote:
@StuffinMyBrain: I hate to be the one to tell you but all your Farmville animals died and your crops burned. Have a nice day.

@opb: BREAKING NEWS: Facebook is down. Worker productivity rises. U.S. climbs out of recession.

@RIRInsider: Virtual crops are dying, fake mafia members are taking over towns & Justin Bieber fans are actually doing their homework.

@antderosa Zuck isn't turning Facebook back on unless he gets final edit on The Social Network (which opens Friday)

@sacca When Facebook goes down, everyone comes to Twitter to talk about it. When Twitter goes down, the world falls mute.

@loubrutus DNS FAILURE: Facebook is down which means 9 months from today, many children will born.

@ObscureGents With Facebook being down how will I be able to see what people I barely like are thinking?

@Z100MoBounce Does that mean we have to actually.... Speak to real people?

@lox333 500 million people set to join Twitter just to find out why Facebook isnt working

@thecajunboy I'm guessing that Russians can hear Sarah Palin's anguished screams from their houses.

Having ideas is good, being involved while in your 20s is good, but you still have a lot to learn and experience. When you are 40, 50 or 60 you will look back to 2010 and say "oh God, I can't beleive I really said or though that?"

Nita
Born in 1980. I worked full time to pay high college tuition, something many older folks have never experienced. Made student loan payments, most older people don't have student loans unless they went to college recently. I have experienced moving 2000 miles away from family to get a job. I had a creep try to break into my apartment, had a friend go through cancer treatments, lost my father. I have experienced long-term unemployment and then struggling to find a job and pay bills with very low income. I have experienced moving back home with parents because of the worst economy since the Great Depression. Experienced a car accident while being among the long term unemployed.

Oh and over a year ago, I nearly died from severe asthma. Now, I have fought back and made an excellent recovery. I now workout six days a week.

Not to mention having friends fight in Iraq, high deficits that the government can't pay for, entitlement society, America's decline.

i don't know. "remixing" has been around for ages. even ray charles remixed gospel songs to make them his own. imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
