We realize this, that doesn't make it fair and in this case, I am not sure it is going to help their bottom line. We are not big watchers of public broadcasting but will be even less now. I think we will continue to watch McLauglin, but that will be it...

As a LIBERAL I am just in a state of shock. I cannot believe they fired him. Juan is one of the best commentators around. I always liked watching him "school" Brit Hume and the other right wingers on Fox Sunday.

Who at fox news said this? I think you are making it up.

It was Obama's grandmother who said that..I didn't know she worked for Fox..maybe that's why Barry hates Fox so much...

I remember Obama saying this during his campaign that his grandmother did exactly what some accuse FNC of here on the Black man comment.

Ha..I'm really never scared of people dressed in "obvious Muslim garb"--(whatever that means--women wearing hijabs or veils?--for the most part Muslim men don't wear turbans). If Al Qaeda had people on a plane or in US or European city looking to carry out some sort of terrorist attack they most likely would be dressed like everyone else to blend in. As for what Muslims look like--well, some Pakistani Muslims don't look that different from Indian Hindus--and Indonesian or Malaysian Muslims might not like any different from people from other Southeast Asian nations.

You know who really scares me on flights? The surly, overworked flight attendants, ready to snap because some passenger decided to use their cell phone or remove their carry-on before the taxiing plane has fully reached the terminal.

That being said, Juan Williams shouldn't be fired--NPR overreacted on this one.

I have always been shocked he even worked for NPR, the bastion of raving foaming at the mouth liberalism. It’s not exactly the place where freedom of speech is aloud. The left has a war going on against freedom of speech. It’s controlled speech or nothing!

His exact words........"I mean, look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country," Williams said.

"But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they're identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous," To which I respond, no sh*t sherlock, what rational human being doesnt ? except of course whoopi goldberg.
