Just wondering.. If someone in a wig lunged at Obama as he got out of his ride, would anyone here oppose someone restraining them? This woman attempted to rush a political candidate, and had she not been stopped this topic might instead read "Crazed political activist assaults Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul." You all saw the original clip clear as I did, and she went for the rush.
That does not excuse the man who pressed his foot into her shoulder blades, especially since by the time he did so she was already incapacitated. He is looking at assault charges for sure.
Here's a pic of "tough guy" Tim Profitt with Rand Paul. The Paul campaign even bought a newspaper ad, bragging that Profitt endorsed him.
“The Paul campaign has disassociated itself from the volunteer who took part in this incident, and once again urges all activists — on both sides — to remember that their political passions should never manifest themselves in physical altercations of any kind,” the statement said.
The more you right wingers keep defending the criminal, the worse it makes the right and teabaggers look.
I have not defended the criminal poseur/provacateur nor have I defended the man who put his foot upon her to hold her down. You really should read someone's posts before placing false accusations. See post #49.
I'll accept your apology if you have enough character to offer it. Do you?
Apparently, the fact that Profitt is an official volunteer could open the Paul campaign up to liability.
And the Chronicle reports a second attacker, also a tea party member, may have been ID’d.

I think you'd probably see all the same nonsense but the roles would be reversed.
