I read the article, but I couldn't find the part that explains how the Democrats plan to pay for this spending per Pay-Go. Of course we all realize the proposed spending was fully funded. If you have another link that better explains how these benefits are financed, please be so kind as to provide it so that we may all share in your indignation.
Good! We can't afford it. We simply cannot keep giving people free stuff!!!
But if you want to donate your money, please feel free to do so. That is called "charity". But it isn't the government's job to take money from others and pass it out. That is theft.

You'd think the Repubiicans would at least sit down and try to negotiate a solution that would allow these first responders that were willing to give their lives for their fellow citizens some medical coverage whether it was through pay-go or some other means.
It's says a lot about the Republican Party that they would reject any solution outright. But extending the Bush Tax Cuts for the richest 1% of American NO PROBLEM!
Some insurance companies won't cover these people.
Maybe we need to do something about THAT rather than do THIS then. I'm not a fan of "special person" legislation because no matter what anyone does they are no more special to me than the people I know and love.
