Wait.. The Senate is scheduled to take a key vote Wednesday on a LONG STALLED BILL.. And then you post a thread about how Republicans vote to block the very bill they are scheduled to take a vote on Tell me why its been long stalled? Democrats had 100% control of congress

Then you tell me they are trying to find "one more Republican Senator" to support the bill, to over come a filibuster, but if the vote is scheduled, there isnt a filibuster

And then you start talking about how they cant find a Republican voter to vote yes, and then you claim this is blocking the bill. FAIL.. its not supporting the bill. Blocking the bill and voting no is not the same thing

In addition if you read your own link it says nothing about Republicans blocking the bill, it said they wouldnt support it until the tax question has been answered..

Then why is there only one more Republican vote needed to pass the bill?...

they arent even threatening to filibuster which has me wondering where the OP is coming up with these things. They are threatening to vote no.. A filibuster is stopping a vote from taking place, but the bill is scheduled for a vote..

Of course.. 10 years later you are now discussing hyperbold about them dying.. Re-read what you just wrote, think about whats wrong with it, and then try to respond rationally without the hyperbold.

Fortunately we still have newspeople who call it like it is.

It's a filibuster in effect if not literally.

9/11 Zadroga health bill headed to Senate vote | 7online.com

"The bill needs just one more Republican Senator to back the legislation to break a GOP filibuster."

The vote that is coming up is to end debate. No bills pass these days unless you have cloture vote that requires 60 votes.

This is what people are referring to as a "filibuster" although technically they are not forced to the floor of the Senate to debate for hours on end.

Cry baby right wingers thinks this is some how significant that their narrow definition of "filibuster" be used. As if that makes the GOP seem less radical.

its not even close to a filibuster.. ITS HEADED FOR A VOTE..

A filibuster is when there IS NOT GOING TO BE A VOTE.

Its the exact OPPOSITE of whats taking place.

Maybe you should think about why it's already a fillibuster and why only one more Republican is needed to break the fillibuster...
