They need to pass the budget by the end of the year. This is the responsibility of congress. The GOP is trying to buck their responsibility to go vacation some more.
I don't think getting additional holiday time is their ultimate goal here. You do get that, don't you?

If you'll recall, Harry shut it down THIS year, 2010, for his vacation, not last Christmas. Last Christmas they were busy ramming through Obamacare and the useless abortion funding language that actually did nothing to stop the public funding of abortions.
Answer my questions please. Why is Harry Reid waiting until the last 2 weeks of the year to address the passing of a budget. And, why does it need to be done in a $1.1 Trillion Omnibus spending bill, that by the Constitution, is required to originate in the US House of Representatives?

Demint and Kyl were trying to stall legislation that they knew not only had enough votes to pass, but had enough votes that any filibuster attempt would fail. So Reid simply said the more stall attempts you make, the longer you will be here.

Look at the debt the democrats have piled up on us and look at the stimulus pork barrel spending by the dems in the last 2 years.
YOUR dem controlled Senate is only stating to stick 6000 pork projects on us taxpayers.
