I'm not sure that's true, or any more true, than it is today. If you get sick on your dr's day off, you have to see someone else.

That was not my experience as a military brat or as a serviceman. The clinics I have used as a civilian had the same doctors, there were a couple, the entire time I used them. There are always changes, some doctors retire, go into teaching or research, or move away, guess what, I found another, all turned out well.

True, but in a small office setting the principal care giver will be given a report of the visit. Not so in a large medical setting.

Our docs only report off on new babies in the nursery. Otherwise, the doc just relies on the chart notes, and sometimes there isn't even a note from the previous visit that has been dicatated yet. This is in a five doc office.

As as a military brat I never saw the same doctor.I lost my front teeth due to botched root canals on Midway Island as a Navy spouse.

Not so in our group, 4 doctors. If one doc sees another docs patient they receive the dictated report so that they are in the loop of care.

40% of physicians? A lot of them are Jewish. Consider this health plan.....repealed or replaced or repaired.
