Pardon my lack of knowledge of electric cars but isn't the volt a much larger car than a Prius or a Leaf?

Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius stomp Chevy Volt on green car list - Feb. 15, 2011

Nissan is majority owned by Renault which is partially owned by the French state. Don't let facts get in your way though and, please, continue to babble talking points.

General Motors employs a lot of Americans, I see no reason to take delight in one of their products underperforming. Why so happy about it? Just so you can throw rocks at the Fed Gov? There are lots of other, better reasons to do that, IMO.

ETA -- The *weight* of the car was 40% of it's "green" score? That seems a bit silly, and arbitrary, to me...
I will celebrate every quarter that Ford outperforms GM. Now that the government is out of the picture and done enough damage to GM, maybe it's possible they can finally compete with Ford.

I don't know much about the Prius and haven't even heard about the Leaf before this thread, is the Prius a 4 or 2 door car or available in both options? I'm also pretty sure that the Volt weighs more because it's got a lot more battery weight than the other two giving it more range due to it's larger size.

Sorry, that seems a silly reason to cheer AGAINST a bunch of hard working, middle-class American families (of which I was one - my dad was an electrician for GM in Lansing, MI for 34 years), to me.

Enjoy yourself.

Not only are you wrong about the current state of GM and the industry, you can't even spell "fail."

Leave political conversations to the adults.

See, this is what happens when the government intrudes in the free market by trying to pick winners and losers based on it's preference and a potload of money.

Can't force people to buy what they don't want or need.
