After we show time and time again the trash on the ground after a liberal / Democrat event , don't you think they would feel shame and pick it up?

Trash? How about historical memorabilia?

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — All of the signs, banners and papers that had been taped to the walls of the Wisconsin state Capitol for three weeks to voice opposition to an anti-union bill have been removed.
The state Department of Administration said Sunday that prior to being taken down most were photographed by the Wisconsin Historical Society and preserved.
The statement says the signs will be evaluated for historical content by both the Smithsonian and the historical society.

BTW, "The state had said cleaning up the Capitol following the protests would cost $7.5 million, but then backed down from that number and said Friday it may only cost $350,000."

Capitol protesters out, but high clean-up costs remain

It would go a long way if those who caused this damage would clean it up, rather than saddling the taxpayers with this expense. Somehow, I don't think we're going to see that happen. People have the right to protest, as has been said here ad nauseum, but what about this. The taxpayers should have the right to bill the unions and protestors for this cost.
These people are like locusts.

They destroy everything in their path.

They will not lift a finger to assist with cleanup.

"That's not my job!"

Wouldn't you agree that if it were $100 it would be too much?

No. The people have a right to assemble. Why are people paid to pick up litter, etc on the capital grounds and be custodians in the buildings? Because messes never happen?
