IMO the summer 2008 spike in gas prices in our SE was the spark that ignited the 2008 crash. Low gas prices at the end of Bush2 term was due to collapsing demands, here and in the world.

Today, although demands are not so flush as 2005, the real reason for low prices is oversupply. Fracking of course helped. And as our economy is now igniting again, not crumping as in 2008, this is almost a miracle gift.

So in 2008 the low price was a sign of bad news, today it is a sign of good news. A whole different world!

So have at it libs, tell us what a genius Obama is. The economy is tanking again and he and his buds at the NYT are ginning up a fake culture war about womens rights - http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/11/us...0rights&st=cse

And no fair blaming Bush, the "new normal" is Obama's achievement.
And the Dow is now over 18,000. Guess you blame that on Obama too.

Idiots.

The Dow is not the economy, and it could just as easily drop like a rock tomorrow or next week.

I for one am big enough to give credit where credit is due. Obama has gotten gas prices down and the market loves the guy.

That doesn't mean I approve of everything the man does. He's made plenty of mistakes, too.

Off course. Every politician has good points and bad points.

Unfortunately, there are those dyed-in-wool hyper partisan types that do not only disagree or are critical of the "other" guys, but despise them with a red hot seething rage.

Okay, I understand people can be passionate about certain issues: the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms, Abortion, the environment and global climate change, Israel and the Palestinians, Gay rights, Labor Unions, etc., etc. But come on! Do you folks really believe there is such a great and profound difference between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party? I don't!
