from the description just released, i am not sure it will help all that much:

“bin Laden’s corpse was badly disfigured, making it all the more difficult to decide whether to release images, particularly of his face,” said Brennan.

Bin Laden was reportedly shot twice in the head, over the left eye. The rounds blew off part of his head and disfigured his face. But according to government officials, they were able to identify him by what was left of his features.
Americans love gore, so why should this be a problem?

The thing is that a lot of the people over there as well as over here aren't going to totally believe it until they see a picture.. and in that case, it should be released. I can understand the reluctance in releasing it, though- pictures of Saddam and his sons were released but they weren't missing parts of their heads.

Default should bin laden's death picture be published

Of course it should. There's no good reason not to.

I would advise Obama to not release it yet.

Let the loons make fools of themselves first for a while. Then pop it out at an opportune moment.

Worked on Trump.

With the story changing now, he would be wise to release it, if he waits, it could add to the claims it isn't real. Hell, release the video.

i have to say that personally i thought it was a little creepy that they all watched it unfold IN REAL TIME from the comfort of their chairs.

war is certainly uglier for some than others.
