jojajn........You think Obama cares what Bibi thinks? I give Obama credit for having the courage to articulate what most Americans want.............to quit giving money to a nation that terrorizes people and build illegal settlements.

Seriously. You really think Obama feels bad because he made Bibi mad? Ha ha ha.........
I'd say it's President Obama that was mad.......The PM told our President how he wasn't going to give up THEIR land.

This is nothing but a land grab for his buddies of the Muslim
Brotherhood......wake up before it's to late!!

All he told Obama was that they weren't going to give up that land which would put them in an indefensible position. Somehow many people here just can't see what actually happened. The man was not disrespectful at all, just truthful. Maybe some here might like to hear the man's words so they can point out the disrespectful parts.

The point here is that there is no one voice for the Israeli people, either on the forum or in Israel, and to presume to speak for all Jews is, well, presumptuous. There are many in Israel who have taken issue with Netanyahu in the past, and some today. One may certainly support the state of Israel without agreeing 100% with Netanyahu.

So not every Jew from Israel agrees with Netanyahu? Do you think that Obama speaks for every American when he says that Israel has to go to some peace talks that are based on the Middle East before the summer of 1967? He sure didn't speak for me when he said that but he did what he thought was a mandate to Israel. Maybe he needs to talk to those of us who aren't worshipers of Obama and see how we feel. I support the United States of America but sure don't support its President Obama on many things and foreign policy is one of them.

Obama was none too pleased, nor should he have been. Netanyahu displayed an almost George W. Bush-like contempt for the office of the President of the United States.

The contempt was for Obama's request, not the office of the President. It's a simple enough distinction for anyone not blinded by their own leanings.

How quickly people forget:

[quote]
President Bush, whose administration at first refused to take any active part in the Middle East process has now, committed itself to peace in the Middle East through the creation of Palestinian State. This is unprecedented. No American President has ever made such a serious and decisive commitment to the Palestinian cause ever before.

This is the first time that an American leader has risked his own credibility and political future and the prestige of America in such a way. The Middle East is a dangerous place to place bets on peace. President Bush deserves credit, commendation and support for displaying such courage. Both Israelis and Palestinians must realize that their best hope for peace and a negotiated settlement is through the brokerage of the US. [end quote]

Except come 2012, the hand won't be BO's, especially without the support of the Jewish vote, which he just lost.
