Oh, for God's sake! Have you read any of the other threads about this? That intellectually dishonest professor Jacobson took some of Revere's first person account out of context. He quoted the part of Revere's account where he was stopped by the British regulars after he had warned the colonists, and claime that supported what Sarah said. When I just now clicked on the link you provided, it didn't work. I assume he took it down for that very reason.
What is really sad is some people are so invested in Sarah Palin they went as far as attemptiing to edit the Paul Revere Wikipedia page to suit her narrative.

Fine. The first link you supplied didn't work. The guy's a sleaze. Taking something so far out of context as he did is dishonest.

Prof. ALLISON: I haven't talked to many - well, I don't know. I mean, I haven't talked to too many historians today. And, you know, Sarah Palin is a lightning rod. I just was thinking about how many times, you know, I've spoken about Paul Revere. I've organized events about the American Revolution. No one ever pays any attention. Suddenly, Sarah Palin comes to town, makes an off-the-cuff remark about what she learned, and suddenly, you're calling me to find out what I think about Paul Revere and the American Revolution.

BLOCK: So you think basically, on the whole, Sarah Palin got her history right.
Prof. ALLISON: Well, yeah, she did. And remember, she is a politician. She's not an historian. And God help us when historians start acting like politicians, and I suppose when politicians start writing history.
So Paul Revere's ride consisted of him riding horseback through town while sending warning shots and ringing bells and warning the British that they were not going to take away our arms?
What a mental picture that makes!
An indication of palin's mind, maybe?
I really wonder if any of you left leaners know that Revere failed to make the whole ride because he was captured by some REd Coats. I would have told them anything they wanted to know like that since they had offered to kill him. Do you and your sources have any real idea what he told them while he was a prisoner? I think you got your info from a progressive rewrite of the situation.
You have no clue what was said. Your baised ears hear only what you have been told to hear.
They are all tools of Media Matters, Think Progress and Daily Kos so they don't really know the whole story. Those "sources" would be supporting progressive rewrites of history since most of them don't know anything else. I am going to stop talking to them about a subject that they know so little about. I know that not one of them has heard her say anything since the 2008 campaign when they got fed all the left leaners' stories.
I'm sure she would think she's right even if she was corrected about Paul Revere.
Uh huh...
I guess we're about to see the flip side of this comment.
How about you go first...
Just in case you missed it:
