The answer to all ills in this country anymore is to seek counseling. They have the cure for it all. Sadly many of these same counselors and kookoo birds themselves. Overweight see a counselor. Your kid acts up in second grade he needs a counselor. On and on it goes. What is the counselor's cure? Well talk about that next week.
Why is it considered impossible for homosexuals to turn straight? Straight people have turned homosexual, even when they weren't gay in the past. The same can happen with homosexual people.

It's much more than that. Talk therapy works. ABA therapy works. Having an objective listener giving practical sound advice is not a bad thing.
Not saying it is all bad but the mantra nowdays if you have any problems hey gotta see a shrink. Hell schools will report you to DHS if you don't take your kids to a shrink at their order. I had a buddy who went through that entire mess. They threatened to take his dam kids away. World would be a better place without shrinks and lawyers IMO. It's all Judge Wapner and Dr. Phil's fault!

I helped many autistic children and their families. I don't know what your buddy went through. I really don't know if it was justified or not. Sometimes it is justified to take a person's children away. It is possible that you may not know everything about your friend.
So what? So what if Bachmann's husband offers Reparative Therapy for those Homosexuals who want to try and change? So what if it only works 30% of the time? Why shouldn't someone be able to try it if they want to? No one seems to complain when some TransGendered person decides to undergo extensive invasive, mutilating, expensive surgery to change who they are. Just because some homosexuals seem happy with who they are, why must everyone conform to your way? Seems a bit hypocritical to me. As well as just another chance to bash Bachmann. Geeeeez.

Because homosexuality is not a mental illness and there's nothing to "cure".
Some troubled homosexuals undergo therapy with trained professionals. Others turn to public forums where they seek reassurance by engaging in partisan political propaganda and insulting complete strangers with whom they disagree.

You spout the usual argument. It's of course the friend's fault. The state of course knows how to much better raise their children then they do. Save it.
