I feel ashamed of the way the debt ceiling fiasco was handled and the situation with the FAA...I don't have confidence in Obama or any of the Republican presidential candidates...Nobody seems to know how to fix the economy. Things look bleak. I am sick and tired of all of the partisan bickering and "blame games."...We are not united...We are a country split right down the middle. How can we solve our problems in sensible and mature ways with "kids" and "clowns" and "bullies" in Washington? This isn't the "American dream!" It's all a big nightmare to me!

Thank you malamute;

i have friends who have not been working, does not mean they are not out there looking, of course they are daily. For some 2 years some 1 1/2 years. They had decent paying jobs that they seemed to think would last forever. Found out, when a company wants to downsize and save money. All that loyality, and experience seems to go down the drain, for these middleaged and some in the thirtys's employees.

Some jobs were replaced with others within the Company, or someone much younger with hardly any experience, i know does not seem fair, and it is not, but today's reality.

You cannot really understand the scope of how bad this situation is, unless you have a family member or friends who have gone thru this, and for me unfortuantely i do. Fifteen family's from across this Country. For me it is depressing, because i can see that nothing is in black or white, that seems to mean that much any more.

I have seen middleaged men that i have known for sometime, change, their personality is not the same, the drive the spirit, and the passion, has been lost. Their children some of them, do no longer have a beautiful place to call home, because they lost their home. That is my reality.
I give Obama a hard time, i know and admit this. Truthfully i do not care how things get better, i just want things better for my friends. They do not deserve this.
