Being in office does not a cause and effect relationship make.
The economy was headed south when he was elected. Everyone acknowledges that, but three years after the fact we still have 9.1% unemployment and he has no plan for correcting this except to do what has already failed yet again. He is responsible for being clueless.
As for Bin Laden, the actions takenand opinions expressed by BO once in office run counter to the Bush policies which were essential to locating him.

All of the military and intelligence people have praised his decision to make the call. One general said it was a "very gutsy" call on the President's part. That makes me proud today. I think many others, including GWB and McCain, would have been afraid of the political fallout.
IMO;even Carter would have made thsi decision easlily.Luckiliy the miltary wqas not in the shape it was when in fact carter had to make the same decision which is why we need to keep funsig our miltary at these levels. time and time again it has proved itself the best of federal government orgaqnizations. Except for the Chruch commission we likely would have gotten Bin Laden long before 9-11 perhaps.
