Race To The Top is NCLB on steroids.

MD has accepted the money and is phasing in the new teacher evaluation model based on Framework For Teaching . As I teach non-tested electives my evaluations are going to be based on how nice my bulletin boards look, whether I am displaying current student work with a minimum of two comments on each exemplar, if I have my objectives written in the correct way, if my mandated College Corner reflects the student body, among one or two other extremely important metrics that have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not my students are succeeding.

What a joke! At least with the standardized tests the students learn something preparing for the test. Graduating from college is all about succeeding on tests.

War for profit, education for profit...they were both successful... for the perpetrators, that is.
Obama is not worry about children being left behind any longer. he wants them behind. if he can't bring the rest of the world's children up to our standers, Obama will bring our standers down!! Obama doesn't just want equal outcome for U.S. citizens he wants them for the entire world!!!
