War for profit, education for profit...they were both successful... for the perpetrators, that is.
As opposed to say, profiting directly, ala Solyndra.....

I'm glad you're admitting that the DEM NCLB garbage is a disaster. And we ARE applauding it.
Ignorance is a common trait of the radical right
This was when we had a republican house that presented the bill, a split senate where more dems voted against it, and a republican president that signed it.
Keep trying to put the extreme right spin on it all you want, and I know it's impossible for the right to ever man up and admit they screwed up, but Bush signed it, he owns it.
There's also that little fact that now speaker Boner was the key driving force in the bill, here he is front and center right next to W (and appears to be crying like usual) when he signed the bill

Apparently "Bipartisan" isn't a word in some people's vocabulary.

They've gotta assign blame one way or another.

Bush didn't just sign it - he proposed it in the first place and asked Kennedy, Boehner et al. to author it.
I wonder why some keep choosing to ignore that?

So the King decided that Congress's law was no good so he just repealed it. Hail to the King!

Its a conservative victory, less federal government, more state. Its a good thing to ignore Congresses unconstitutional laws.

You do realize that NCLB was the product of Ted Kennedy ?
Kennedy was the initial sponsor of it. It was Kennedy who worked with Bush and the Repubs to get a BIPARTISAN bill done and passed.

And for all those lauding the waivers..NCLB is not dead. The waivers are for the 100% proficiency in 2014. But in place of that states must adhere and accept parts of RTT (Race to the Top).

Are you aware of the details of that program ?

We're just waiting for the Obama disaster to mercifully come to an end. And it won't come soon enough.
