I would be pissed to be a 2nd grader who found out they took my free cup cake away. lol

I would just walk out of school and go home if I had to watch people try to put condoms on. That's a joke and morally wrong, to me.

"Dexter Thielhelm, a second-grader at James Madison Elementary School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, had a simple message for his classmates: “Jesus loves you.” The young boy had worked diligently with his mother and siblings to create candy and notes for his friends at school, as he filled empty water bottles with candy and a rolled-up a Bible verse (John 3:16) to share with his classmates. But earlier this week, to the surprise of the boy and his family, school officials confiscated the valentines before they could be handed out."

Now, read about this public school sponsored Valentine's Day Love Fest that included mock marriages and playful attempts at putting condoms on a wooden penis while special goggles helped simulate their anticipated drunken state while doing so. Teachers gave extra credit for students participation.

"Galileo High School celebrated Valentine's Day in a style befitting San Francisco on Tuesday as hundreds of students lined up to "marry" their sweethearts regardless of gender, sexual orientation or relationship status."

"They then learned how to correctly put on a condom using goggles that gave them a drunken view of things, and played a variety of games that promoted safer sex."

And we wonder why our students do so poorly in academics. And we wonder why there are so many teen pregnancies and STD's. And we wonder why...

WASHINGTON – Teen pregnancy rates in the U.S. have dropped to a 40-year low, according to a study released Wednesday.
The Guttmacher Institute, a non-profit sexual health research group that favors abortion rights, found the rate of pregnancies among 15- to 19-year-olds has declined 42 percent from its peak 22 years ago.
In 1990, the pregnancy rate was 117 per 1,000 female teens -- in 2008, that figure had dropped to 68 per 1,000.

Perhaps he should have passed out Valentine's condoms instead, then the school would have approved.

Kids are having sex earlier and earlier which is very disturbing. But don't blame the teachers for their poor academics. Their education starts with the parents. Some parents are in such denial and have no idea what their "angel" really does. These kids need to know about condoms and birth control and drinking. Parents need to teach them that but many don't. Is it wrong for schools to teach this. The ones that say yes are probably the ones that haven't had this conservation with their child.
And seriously, who cares about the mock marriages.

Its better than 69 per 1000. Ohh great 69, Santorum will probably ban that number due to a sexual position. Kids will now learn 65,66,67,68,70.

Stupid mom. School is not the place to send your little darling missionary to go witnessing for Jesus, or any religion.

That school has academic ratings that would be the envy of many a conservative school district in the US.

Or maybe he should have just passed out appropriate cards & candies that didn't blatantly proselytize or foist his mother's religious views on his classmates.
