Magnitude 7.6 - OAXACA, MEXICO
Isn't Mexico on the traveler warning list because of the drug violence?

Magnitude 7.6 Earthquake Shakes Mexico City | Fox News

Felt strongly in Oaxaca
The earthquake center was in the state of Guerrero, or almost on the Guerrero/Oaxaca state line. That's maybe an 8-10 hour ride from Oaxaca city. The earthquake was more strongly felt in Mexico City, and in Acapulco.

Yep. But with an armed force like the POTUS has at his disposal.

The Elites go where they want.

Then why does the story say that there is no phone service there, and the USGS calls it the Oaxaca quake?

I think your straining at gnats. To swallow a camel, or burro.. which ever one works for you.

A 7.6 is a major shaker that can cause a huge amount of damage.
Oaxaca is a fairly big state--the quake was right near the western border. The city of Oaxaca was over 100 miles away would probably be shook pretty hard, but there's not a lot of big buildings there. Though thinking back to the Loma Prieta quake in 1989 which was a 6.9--San Francisco and Oakland were probably about 60 miles from the epicenter and got hit pretty hard in terms of damage, but much of that was aging infrastructure(bridges and highways) and areas built on landfill into the bay.

I guess. Not being part of that power structure, it just seems strange to me that a 13 year old girl would be on "spring break" in Mexico, especially w/o her family. We're not talking college kids here. But what do I know...I'm just a working stiff.

I don't care if a platoon of marines took my daughters with them. It ain't gonna happen.

NO way. No how.

Child endangerment to say the least.

You're entitled to your opinion. Mexico is a bigger threat and detriment to this country than any other nation on earth.

Accuser without a cause. Not worth typing one more word to you.

Its rather sad to have to start threads about a 13 year old girl so you can feel better about yourself.
Actually, its more than sad, do you hate the entire family when you dont agree with 1 member of the familys politics?
