& would you tell your kids to be a machinists or a Mechanical engineer?
You can't tell your kids what to do. You don't just become a mechanical engineer it takes a lot of hard work, work which many don't want to do in today's day and age but they want the same pay and benefits that somebody who does put in the work gets. There lies the problem.

Tough call. Both pay about the same, especially when machinists typically get paid overtime. And both are about equal in difficulty. I'd probably actually lean towards machining if the interest were there. It's probably a bit more in demand in more areas, meaning both a better chance at a job, and more flexibility as to where to work. And also perhaps a bit more fun, though like most jobs that would depend from day to day.

If this was such a good thing then why didn't democrats (who controlled both houses of Congress) make it for
Longer instead of ending just before the next presidential election?
