I watched the video--thank you for the clip, SHABAZZ. If you think about the 'Life of Julia' ad from the Obama campaign, and the general theme from Obama of increasing the dependency index, this line from Allen West is really spot on. Have you ever read Hayek's "Road to Serfdom?" We are on it, so Allen West here is speaking the bare truth.
I think one thing that drives the left so bonkers about West is that, being black, he is able to speak the truth in ways that a white conservative could not get away with. That's the basic racist equation that the left has written in the past 25 or so years: the right to speak the truth is NOW A FUNCTION OF ONE'S SKIN PIGMENTATION.

West isn't saying anything inflammatory. West tells it like it is..He is telling all those who want the govenment to take over their lives with freebees with be a slave to the government.. they will own you..

Having 70 socialists democrats is what it is. If West tells it like it is, it is not inflammatory. We are turning into a socialist country. The Communist party is working overtime and with the help of Obama the transition is

West did kind of back off of the statement he made about 'communists.' Technically it was a poor choice of words; he should have said 'collectivist' or maybe just socialist. But the underlying point was right. I find it quite telling how the left goes into such apoplexy when confronted with a guy who tells it like it is. Maybe they know that when all the phony facades they've put up are removed, they have no chance at winning the debate....
