The fact that there are so many who are willing to rally around idiots like West (and Walsh, to name two) just goes to show the desperation of the republi-thug party.
They have NO ONE with any credibility or morals - and that includes their presidential candidate.
They are simply playing the hand they were dealt with and they have to show support for these liars and morons. They have to put up a united front - regardless of how they really feel and what they really believe.
I guess I just hate believing that even half way reasonable and intelligent people would really support these creeps if they had better choices.

This azzclown was on a Frank Lutz show on Fox recently. The audience was supposedly bipartisan, made up of Dems and Repubs. One of the audience members even brought up the fact that West said the fellow congress members were communist, how could they take him seriously. West was very eloquent and had a good story. By the time that he was done, everyone raised their hand when asked if they would vote for him. So much for fair and balanced. I'll never watch that show again. There is NO way that a truly bipartisan audience could agree 100% to vote for West.
What to you want from The Frank Luntz show? Frank Luntz is a GOP operative who is best known for Orwellian propaganda. He coined the term "clear skies" for a bill that makes the air dirtier; he got the GOP to use "death tax" instead of what it is, an inheritance tax and "energy exploration" instead of oil drilling.

Look up 'obstructionist' in the dictionary--it has zip, zero, nada to do with 'party over country.' You know who were real obstructionists?--the abolitionists of the mid 19th century, because they sought to stop the pro-slavery Democrats from expanding slavery to newly formed states. Allen West continues in that tradition as he tries to stop the expansion of collectivism and further travel down the road to serfdom.
Obstructionism per se is neither good nor bad; whether it is depends on what is being obstructed. In typical fashion, liberals twist a word meaning in an attempt to rig the discourse.
