Mitt Romney urged not to repeat McCain's Sarah Palin 'mistake'
Dick Cheney says selection of Palin in 2008 was a 'mistake' and suggests Romney should go for experienced running mate
Former vice-president Dick Cheney said Sunday that having Sarah Palin on the 2008 White House ticket was "a mistake", urging this year's Republican candidate Mitt Romney to go for someone more experienced.
As those vying to be chosen as Romney's running mate spent the weekend campaigning around the country, Cheney suggested that main criteria had to be: "Is this person capable of being the president of the United States?"
Palin, who was a first-term governor of Alaska when John McCain picked her to his running mate, fell short on this count, Cheney implied.
I agree with Cheney, whoever is vice-president must be capable of being president. Sarah Palin was a huge mistake. She continues to be an embarrassment to the Republican party. She is the political version of the Kardasians.

Not true, she out debated Joe Biden. But yet again my three year old can probably out debate Joe Biden (plugs)
You sure have a wild imagination. I'll give you that.
Palin has her following of many supporters.
As you can see by Obama, sometimes the so called brains aren't there but they can still govern well.
Obama can't even delegate or lead and supposedly was alleged to have brains.
Palin IMO was capable. Her problem was her basic conservative beliefs were so caustic to the press and other liberals that she has lot of perceived negatives. Her values and believes are more in common with the American voter than Obama, but they spent years demonetizing Palin and her family.
The real mistake the GOP keeps repeating is putting up Progressive RINO's as the GOP candidate instead of Constitutional Conservatives.
