Is that a "which came first - the chicken or the egg" question?

I could post something rather naughty involving the verb "to come" and a synonym for "rooster," but I shan't.

But as all paleontologists know, homosexuality originated when a fabulousness gene somehow arose in an early hominid. The cave in which he lived was discovered in the Rift Valley in 2002, and attracted attention due to its stunning interior design featuring a track-torch system.

If you sincerely believe that the sexual orientation of adoptive parents has such an effect on a child's own orientation, then you must also believe that no child adopted by heterosexual parents has ever turned out gay.

Do you really, seriously, honestly believe that?
Oops. I'm gay and my adoptive parents are heterosexual.

Sexual hormones and the brain: an essential alliance for sexual identity and sexual orientation (2010)
Endocr Dev. 2010;17:22-35. Epub 2009 Nov 24. Garcia-Falgueras A, Swaab DF.
The fetal brain develops during the intrauterine period in the male direction through a direct action of testosterone on the developing nerve cells, or in the female direction through the absence of this hormone surge. In this way, our gender identity (the conviction of belonging to the male or female gender) and sexual orientation are programmed or organized into our brain structures when we are still in the womb.

There is no indication that social environment after birth has an effect on gender identity or sexual orientation.

The American Academy of Pediatricians states:
"there is no scientific evidence that abnormal parenting, sexual abuse, or other adverse life events influence sexual orientation."
If your big brother is in a gang, or your friends are in gangs, are you more or less likely to want to join a gang? If you are raised by Gypsies (or politicians) and told we make a living by stealing and lieing to people, are you more or less likely to adopt their values for your own? This is common sense people.

It happens, but it's also rare and it's not NORMAL. Pretending it is, doesn't make is so, anymore than a cat born with six toes is normal, it's an anomoly or deviation.

I don't know a single gay, lesbian, or bisexual person who was raised by gay, lesbian, or bisexual people. And none of my friends raised by a same-sex couple grew up to be gay. And I live in Massachusetts.

Since a comparatively small percentage of gays and lesbians are raising children, where are all these gays and lesbians coming from?
