The ATF SWAT team that assaulted the compound was NOT ambushed, they were resisted and repulsed.

But they should have never invaded the compound without first announcing who they were, and showing their warrant.

If someone walked up to the front door, asked for David Koresh, and said "Hello, my name is Steve with the ATF, and we have a warrant signed by a judge to inspect your compound for modified assault rifles."

Then he was shot, I could understand the outrage.

But that didn't happen. Imagine if someone suddenly decided to invade your house? Would you just sit on your hands and do nothing? I'm going to fight back.

I think the Davidians were loons, but the ATF started the mess by not announcing who they were.

They were the aggressors. It was self-defense. If they'd wanted to arrest the man, they could have done so easily anytime he was in town (which was frequently). Instead the feds wanted to play soldier.

When your home is surrounded by police cars and you don`t know why you should open fire? I think not.

Janet Reno (IDIOT) ordered it because she heard children were being abused, she had no proof, but she wanted to be a hero and save the children. As a result, almost everyone was killed, including most of the children she was trying to save, when some moron FBI or ATFE agent made the genius decision to fire tear gas canisters into an all wooden structure. This whole thing could have been settled in a more peaceful manner and it was the government to blame for all of these deaths, including their own.

You need to read up on the incident. I cut out the picture that Time magazine published of the 25 children 5 years or under that died in the final assault. My own daughter was 3 at the time. What the government did was inexcusable from any stand point. Janet Reno should pray she doesn't get sent to a special place in hell for her actions at Waco.

I ran across this artical on Ruby Ridge and when I got to page 8 I began to realize how much money the Gov spent just to get Randy Weaver, What a freaking waste!....

Agents approached the site in cattle trailers pulled by pickup trucks owned by individual ATF agents.

I do not care who they are. If they surround my home and start opening fire without even announcing who they are or why they are here, you can better believe that I will return fire in self-defense.
