Companies fail all the time because of poor mgt! It is one of the risks you take in business. When the workers are being paid 70+ an hour and the cars keep getting more and m ore inferior to the competition what do you expect.
Other lines have failed in the car industry without being saved. The heads of GM are a bunch of greedy liars! Flying down to Washington DC in their Private JETS They did it so they could continue to make MILLIONS a year...... It is not about the workers.
Someone needs to step up to the plate and be the ADULT in the spending arena.

The adults? These would be conservatives who love big spending, trickle-down, subsidies, bailouts for the Wall Street wealthy - the too-important-to-fail guys? No problem with taxpayer handouts to them.
For the right wing it certainly IS about the repub disdain for the unionized working class. A labor union's only bargaining chip is the ability to withhold work.

Yet there is no such disdain for unions such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Federal Reserve, or any "strength-in-numbers" consortium of businesses banding together for enhanced political power, influence, and mutual benefit. IMO you are just furthering the conservative orthodox media distortions.
