Why should I buy a Volt? I would consider it a waste of my money.

Reasonable answer. I don't like many SUV's/trucks/Chrysler cars, etc but I have no problem with someone else owning them. They are a waste of money for me but I'm sure someone else could make some good use of them.

Fair enough. Compact family sedans aren't for everybody.

No the price makes no sense for my sue and the vehicle does not fit what i want/need in a vehicle.I think the Prius C at half the price will kill its sales.

Except the Prius C has been panned by most reviewers as a petty poor hybrid vehicle.

That's what I'm doing. I was going to buy a car this year but with obama still in office, I think I'd better keep my money in my mattress.

Agree with them or not, you have to factor in tax credits when it comes to a Volt purchase. The MSRP on my parent's Volt was 41K (nice one with leather, premium paint, etc). After negotiating and a rebate, they got that down to 37,000. They have 13,500 coming back to them in tax credits, so they ended up paying $23,500 for their 2013 Volt. (granted they did have to pay an extra $900 bucks or so on sales tax because the 37K was taxed, not the 23.5k).
