I thought the topic of this thread was if RFID'ing the students IDs was "Orwellian" or not, not whether it was a wise expenditure.

I certainly can, but not without seeing the school's budget - especially how much they figure they are losing each year due to incorrect attendance reporting.

Its a million or so more dollars than the method they have now.
I thought this thread was about RFID chips in student ID's and not the TSA, NDAA or Patriot Act?
