b. a cell phone
c. a gun
d. a mani-pedi

Oh yeah...and he's dastedily....whatever THAT means Lol!
Obviously this "killer" would not be in there with a gun because they would already have been taken away from everybody.
So now, what weapon does this killer have again?
Bob.

If the gun control bill were adopted as I have written, , anyone found with a gun would be arrested on the spot, and face life in prison for a first offense.
Even crimanals can understand that.
So once again I find myself asking, what lethal weapon would this killer be trapping me in a small room with?
One thing I would like to ad is, the second amendment has never in the history of this country been in more jeopardy of being repealed.
Most people are fed up with the likes of the NRA, and their cult following.
Change is on the way.
Bob.

Thats what Obama said. Change and hope. Nothing changed and all hope is gone. Keep dreaming about your gun control. Never happen.

Umm, ever hear of bombs? You think a gun ban would have stopped Mcveigh?

Most of this country is not sick of the second amendment. A minority of loudmouths from the usual anti-gun areas does not constitute a majority.

There will be enough owners who would be willing to defend their property by force. That small few will throw a wrench into the confiscation process and cause more to resist and group. Pretty soon you will have a massive rebellion.

Since guns are off the table; dagger, rope, candlestick, lead pipe, or wrench.

No, an armed response in a dark and crowded theater from untrained civilians with smoke bombs going off would have increased the casualties from friendly fire, even professionals would have had a difficult time.

What practical reason is there for getting rid of 30 round magazines? We've had exactly ONE high profile shooting that involved 30 round magazines, as I showed in my previous post. Banning 30 round magazines is a knee-jerk, feel good reaction to a problem that goes a whole lot deeper than the number of rounds available, but apparently you feel that it will actually do some good. It didn't work in the past, and it won't work now.
Knee jerk reaction, there have been many killings from semiautomatic weapons, how many do you need'

As for practicality, quite honestly Americans do a lot of things that aren't practical. Practicality has nothing to do with the fact that there is absolutely no reason to prohibit an item that thousands of law abiding citizens use on a regular basis due to the actions of one deranged individual
.

Once again no answer.

Adam Lanza stole his mother's guns after he killed her, then used them to commit heinous acts. Your knee-jerk reaction to this situation is almost comical, if it weren't for the fact that you seem to seriously believe what you are posting. There are hundreds of millions of firearms in the United States, and due to a miniscule percentage of those firearms being used in assaults you feel that legislation is not only needed, but would be effective in curbing violence.

Well it would have been effective in this instance in preventing a Bushmaster being put in the hands of a mentally incompetent, these military style weapons do not belong in the hands of civilians.

I think that any firearm which could be reasonably used to stage an invasive assault with the intent of killing as many people as possible in a short amount of time should be considered an assault weapon. People relate firearms like AR-15's as their rendition of assault weapons because they're used to seeing movies with soldiers carrying them in battle or while storming a building. The reality is that anyone could take a semi-automatic handgun and inflict similar amounts of damage as the shooter in Connecticut.

It's also not uncommon for soldiers breaching buildings and other structures which house large groups of people to have semi-automatic handguns as backups or even as a primary weapon in very close quarters. The short reload time (particularly the use of a magazine), the rate at which the weapon fires, and its ease of use or ability to be concealed should be considered as a factor when determining if a weapon is an "assault weapon" or not.

I think any firearm which uses magazines OR can fire more than two rounds in the time it would take the average person to run greater than 50 yards OR can be concealed in a manner whereby they can be brought into a public setting unnoticed should all be classified as assault weapons and should be banned. Also, a weapon such as a shotgun, which may or may not fit into my previous definition, should have added mechanisms to prolong reload time.

Any currently existing weapon that does not meet that criteria should either have mandated modifications performed to it to bring it within legality OR should be disposed of at no cost to the owner. We should also have a "Get out of Jail Free" or "No Questions Asked" disposal policy for anyone who wishes to dispose of a weapon.

Now, all the paranoid rednecks and neanderthal-minded individuals who insist they must defend their house from intruders with lethal force have the freedom to do so by keeping a loaded weapon by their nightstand. Any nutjob who wants to walk into a school and shoot a bunch of children is going to have to cache no more than three cumbersome weapons in order to get off more than six rounds in a timely fashion.

Oh, and did I mention that ammunition sales should be regulated such that only one box of ammunition per each household gun is allowed. Any further ammunition sales would be on a one-for-one basis where the individual has to return any spent cartridges and can only receive as much ammunition (up to one box) as the number of spent cartridges he/she returns.

You must enjoy making a fool of yourself... I own a Brown Bess flintlock musket and can load and shoot it 6 times in 120 seconds or 2 minutes. That is an average of 1 round ball measuring about 3/4ers inch each 20 seconds.

How fast can you run 50 yards..... BTW I can hit targets out to 100 yards with this weapon, which was standard issue in England before the French and Indian War and past the War of 1812.

To further wet your pants it takes a bayonet almost 2 feet long.

By your standards this weapon would also be banned

The rest of your load of pablum just isn't worthy of comment
