Yeah. Maybe we should ban rightwingers instead of assault weapons! This

I’m not talking about the horrific shooting in Connecticut today. I’m talking about the worst school murder in American history. It took place in Michigan, in 1927. A school board official, enraged at a tax increase to fund school construction, quietly planted explosives in Bath Township Elementary. Then, the day he was finally ready, he set off an inferno. When crowds rushed in to rescue the children, he drove up his shrapnel-filled car and detonated it, too, killing more people, including himself. http://qz.com/37069/the-deadliest-sc...h-matters-now/
Gettin' back at those people who were stealing his taxes and using them to educate kids. Sounds familiar.

The point is that, while firearms are efficient weapons, and probably the preferred weapon of psychotic assh**es, taking them away from the entire citizenry will not cause those psychotic assh**es to suddenly not be psychotic assh**es. At most, that will make the psychotic assh**es employ some other method to demonstrate their psychotic assh**ishness. And as has been shown, those other methods can be just as deadly, if not quite as easy.
I'm not sure I agree. I don't see why someone, who could very easily and for much less money buy gas and a lighter would buy assault weapons unless there was something very specific about that weapon of choice that was attractive to the assailant.
