A first trimester fetus is NOT a baby! Take it out of a uterus, put it on a table, and it is a tiny blob of tissue that quickly dries up. No baby there....
does that tiny blob of tissue have its own dna?is it a growing organism? Is the dna human?
you but a large blob of tissue with your own set of dna that is evolving and changing.

I try real hard to get the prolife position and while I understand the intent, pure emotion, it doesn't play out realistically since there is no possible way to force a pregnancy to come to term. It can't be done.
Plus, anyone who isn't actually born (ie: aborted fetus) does not have a sense of self and doesn't miss what never was so it's really other people upset on behalf of what might have been. The energy is better spent on those who are born but there is something that draws people to this particular battle and I think it's because there is no winning and nothing to actually DO.
