And we poor and middle class folks are tired of hearing the 1% whine about the 47& too. If the people at the top would have been creating jobs instead of seeking out cheap labor and investing in off shore accounts, we wouldn't be complaining. We need for the OCCUPY movement to march on Washington and get the rich people and the lobbyists away from the politicians, and level the playing field. whine on about the takers, because without us to step on, you'd be poor too.

The government operates at your disposal and pleasure. Why else was the entire nation of 311 million + held hostage over the plight of 1% of the country?

Here, let me get this out for you while you RAGE, RAGE, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE lol:

OMG, you mean you've been taxed so much, that all you can afford to do now is spend all your time posting on C-D (or to quote a famous lib-rul, ''I feel your pain''...)?!!

Paying 14-15% is hardly being ripped off. Hopefully, the top will be paying as much as during the Clinton years. That's fair.

$80 billion?

Total defense spending topped $1 trillion last year. The interest on Bush's idiotic war in Iraq alone probably topped $80 billion.

Poor people are not the problem.

It certainly is compared to the 6.01% the middle class pays. And the top 1% actually pays an average effective federal income tax rate of 23.39%.
Latest Federal Income Tax Data

I, personally, paid a rate of 31.1% for 2011. My spouse is a CPA. Believe me, we would have paid less in taxes if there were any way it was legally possible.

The rich have been undertaxed since 2001--it is no small coincidence that our economy stalled as a result. Job creation, as a result of this massive trickle down failure, was pitiful.

GDP growth under Bush: 1.42%, one of the lowest in history.
