I'm in the same boat, I was going ready to buy an Aston Martin last year but opted out due to the luxury tax.
I told my dealer he can thank Obama, he chuckled and agreed.

I was gonna buy a new Bugatti Veyron last year, but the taxes killed the deal. I could afford the 1.2 million dollar price tag, but not the additional taxes.
The dealer agreed and said that its Obama's fault. We then shook hands and I jumped into my Ford Fiesta and headed home to my mansion.

I pay a 20% tip for good service.
I pay 0% for bad service, especially from wait staff who act as if they expect you to subsidize their wages.
I'm not their employer, I'm their customer.
Personally I can't remember the last time I had a bad waitress or waiter although I do remember one time where a girl was just a little on the slower side even though the restaurant was not busy.
99.9% of the time I went to work I gave 100% to my job. That was a personal rule understanding that the owner owed me nothing and that the owner trusted and hired me to do a job. But there was that .1% that I was feeling a little slow and that is what I wrote the waitress off to be someone who was operating in the .9% that day and I still tipped her well.
I have more respect for people who work hard and understand that they are not owed anything but have no respect for people who are able-bodied, mentally ok but refused to work and think they are owed.

What's funny is how much taxes have gone down overall over the past ten years, combined with how much wealthier the upper class has become. Yet some of these whiners are now crying poor. Poutrage in full effect.
Hawkeye here is something you won't hear from Democrats. I don't make as much as you but "good for you" for making that kind of money. Congrats for "using your brain" to figure out and "working" to do what it takes to make good money. Me, I'm "working" on it.
No kidding.
We buy their food (SNAP).
We put roofs over their heads (Section 8).
And they hate the people supporting their lazy azzes.
And they wonder why we think they and their president are azzholes.

Whats even funnier is all Americans have the opportunity to become the upper class yet they refuse to do what it takes to get there and whine about someone else who did do what it takes is doing better than them.

It reminds me (as I have noted in another thread) of the gentleman in east Texas who, in 2008, purchased a business that sells bottled water (you pull up and fill up your containers, etc). This individual has strong political feelings and was upset at the election of Mr. Obama. Henceforth, he set up one of those big advertising signs on wheels (wherein you may change your message each day) and began to create rather libelous statements about Mr. Obama, with the 'birther' comments he occasionally made being rather tame in comparison.
To his astonishment, his business quickly went downhill, and he has been trying to sell the business for two years, goodwill included! He still has his sign out and blames President Obama for his business failure, which, strange to say, has not resulted in an uptick of business.
Such is life.

LOL, if he were in my area he wouldn't dry up either, I'd make sure to do business with him. Although we are considered a blue state those people are out east and we did not have voter ID laws because people considered it too hard to get an ID. So I have to wonder how true blue we are.
