Take NRDC articles with a grain of salt.
They have connections to Greenpeace, Gore and are big on the climate change bandwagon and have a revolving door with the EPA and Environmental Working Group and all those connections lead back to Fenton Communications.
True. Indeed, I take everything with a grain of salt. It has been my experience that such articles, both condemning such news and those praising such news, are slanted one way or the other. Hence, when someone posts a link stating 'how horrible' something is, it is usually wise to reflect on the source, and, if interested, to seek out other opinions. One man's trash is another man's treasure, if you will.
There's a good chance there were a significant amount of union workers in those 3900 so there's a bright side for the right wingers.
I'm sure some of the 16 million new Americans collecting food stamps used to have union jobs too, but I'm not a liberal hack, who is driven by partisan politics to cast out common sense, rational thinking and compassion for their fellow man, just so Obama can be let off the hook.

TPTB have decided that wind and solar are our answers and everything else must be regulated and taxed to death with sometimes impossible guidelines to meet.
The way to force us on to solar/wind is to restrict/hinder/prevent expansion of existing power sources.
This is the problem, wind power, or solar are not “reliable base load power.” Obama's EPA is destroying baseload power, with nothing to replace it with.
They new wave of plant is intermediate load spark fired RICE designed to start fast enough to hold up the grid when the wond stops blowing! We're building 1 now and permiting the second. It will never replace baseload MISO and similer syetem controllers ( PJM, ERCOT etc.) are already planning for outages in the future.......

These coal power plants kill 1,000's of Americans each year with their pollution.
And these coal power plants also give 10,000's of children Asthma each year.
10,000's of American children can't even go outside to play (because these coal plants gave them asthma so bad, they can't even breath.)
The CEO's who own these power plants give republicans huge amounts of campaign money. GW Bush recently did favors for these power plants, and changed laws so these power plants can pollute more.
But who does a republican (want) to fight for,
A.) Fight for greedy coal CEO's so they can pollute unregulated, and kill 1,000's of Americans each year, and make 10,000's of children so sick they can't breath.
B.) Fight for the rights of regular Americans and American children.
Answer: A.) Republicans always fight for greedy CEO's, and republicans could care less about anyone else.
The (immoral) CEO who owns that coal plant is so greedy, that he does not want to spend the money to make his power plant safe. He would rather destroy 1000's of US jobs, and keep more money in his bank account.

EPA was one of the more critical reasons to NOT vote for 0bama.
EPA should be dismantled and used as sewage treatment.
How dangerous would a power plant need to be in order for you to agree that it should be closed? Would kindergarteners need to be dropping dead in the streets before you would accept it's closing?
