Thats what you get when your dear Marxist leader backs the Eco freaks agenda...This is only the beginning "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet!!!....Hello $10 a gallon coming soon to station near you....Don't touch that dial..Stay tuned for the continuing saga of Our Dear Marxist Leader and The Left Destroying America!!!
Yep, let's blame those evil greedy corporations, when the taxes per gallon of gas by the feds and states are far more per gallon of gas than the profits:
Shhhh Don't tell them their capitalism has flaws. Or that Exxon Mobil cares more about increasing profits than anything.
Guess they also want to over look it was Obama that brought in the new mileage guidelines for cars. Or his push to provide cars that don't use gas.
Buy a Tesla and it won't matter what gas does.
Nah, we should be buying Fiskers instead. I mean, despite the fact that Tesla is struggling to keep sufficient sales volume....Obama's pork laden bailouts gave 500million or so in taxpayer loan guarantees to Tesla's rival to MAKE CARS OUTSIDE THE USA. Don't you just love politics? Fiskers gives enough money to some pols and they slip that in as a "green initiative".
So now let's discuss the payroll taxes, port fees, mineral rights, corporate income tax and so on and so forth that they pay that doesn't go to road maintenance and also exceeds the after-tax profits on a gallon of gas.
You're right. President Obama should have nationalized the petroleum industry in America by now so that he can control the prices and we could be on par with Venezuela.
Tell us, what exactly would you have him do to lower your bill at the pump? We already subsidize the oil companies to the tune of sixty billion or so a year. Do you think they should invest and find more oil so that they can sell it to you cheaper? If so, you don't have a clue how business works.
What you need to do is demand that speculation on crude oil futures be curtailed. That is what drives the prices.
We want to be like venzuela? Really ? At least you admit you want a socialist run economy
Obama eats children, Obama is the antichrist, Obama is the blame for word hunger, OMG . Neocons, seriously have some issues. First Obama (nor any president) controls gas prices. The Keystone pipeline and drilling offshore wouldn't have bought down prices that quickly, because all that infrastructure has to be developed which can take years. For example, look how long it takes to build a highway project?
Instead of blaming Obama for everything, how about we as a country sit down and talk about how to wean ourselves of oil more quickly, so we won't be impacted by world market prices. I know conservatives will hate to hear this, because it is very European and gasp "soocccialliism ohhhh" but making proper long term investments in public transportation where they make sense. Europe has high taxes on gas prices, but a lot of Europeans aren't as impacted by it because they have effective mass transit as an option. Also giving tax incentives to companies or individuals for telecommuting when possible would also help with the oil demand. Not to mention also cut down on pollution, traffic congestion, and all the cost associated with that. I think and all of the above approach is best instead of finger pointing and blaming Obama for all of societies problems.
This, and by the OP's logic, I wonder if he was thanking Obama when they went way down last month. As you said, it's all market based.
lol
You beat me to it.
No praise for Obama when gas prices around here were around $3.20 a gallon last month (low for around here), but it's all his fault when the prices go back up.

No Obama does not control prices but his current policies are the reason for high prices. The reason the prices are so high is because the government is pumping trillions of dollars through the investment banks. This money isn't being used to assist the citizens but rather to pump into commodities. Without this pump oil would be far less expensive.
The problem we have as a country is that Romney and McCain would have done the same thing.
Why not we her enothing but
Bush eats children, Bush is the antichrist, Bush is the blame for word hunger, OMG .
Liberals were opposed to Bush for good reason, for getting us into wars we didn't need to be. Last I check Obama hasn't gotten us into any stupid wars.
