Do you shop at a grocery store? Walmart? Bookstores, gamestores, amusement parks, restaurants, Walgreens, gas station, Home & hardware stores, anything packaged in plastic, etc. All of these types of companies employ min wage labor somewhere in their supply chain.
Basically. I had a friend that worked for Kroger at one point and their pay a basically min wage. They might make $8/hr, but then you have your dues. CVS hired him at $8.50/hr and he left there to work at FedEx for like $14/hr.
I've had enough of my stuff stolen by roommates (note: roomates are marsupial siblings) over the years. I want a tiny house of my own, thank you.
Count yourself lucky they only stole stuff , a Uof Md student terminated a dispute with his roommates. Two dead, one critically wounded. The shooter commited suicide.
Well last night the dumbass called for raising the minimum wage to a "livable wage".
Where do these morons get the notion that minimum wage is meant to be a living wage? It is an ENTRY level wage, it's not something meant to support your family on.
It should certainly be enough to support the worker himself though.
Nope, and that's why they are getting their butts handed to them by the super stores. Who pays 30% extra for basic items? So a grocery bagger can have a pension? Absurd.

I see a lot of older people working at these stores now. There's a reason why teen unemployment rates are going up... Because people have to take these menial jobs to support themselves.
