I saw a man in K-Mart wearing a Ralph Lauren Purple label suit, some spats and a 5 carat diamond ring. He had a Presidential Gold Rolex and was driving a Maserati Gran Tourismo. He was buying T-Bones, Porter Houses, Lobster and K-Mart brand Caviar. He used and "EBT CARD" to pay for it all.

Honest to God, I saw it!!!!

Is it so shocking that there would be a massive increase in food stamps since 2009, seeing as the country was right at the start of a massive economic collapse that had originally started at the end of 2008?

I SAW THIS GUY'S WIFE AT THE SAME K-Mart. She bought like 20 pregnancy tests. I asked her what they were for, she said we wanted a raise. I said what kind of job gives you a raise for getting getting pregnant and having kids. She said the DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES does. Then she smiled (pearly white teeth), took her EBT CARD out of her GUCCI wallet, paid and left in her FERRARI.

But that massive collapse was over one year later..June 2009.
The government told us ...the recession ENDED June 2009.

We've been on a recovery ever since.
Now compare that to the record number of people enrolling in food stamps and applying for SSDI.

Are we recovering or what here because the welfare program numbers say just the opposite.

Why don't you project your anger on the ponzi schemers and dishonest people on the top? I don't deny there are people who leech benefits, but I'd say there's at least as many who genuinely need them, and nobody can know for sure if they need them or not unless they have lived in their shoes.

Of course they pay most of the taxes they have more money to pay a percentage of, it's obvious, and they still have plenty of money left over to pay for luxuries, on top of that they pay it to a government who's main function it is to protect "the opulent minority", that's what the cops are mainly for, military industrial complex and prison industrial complex have paid for these fatcats, hell the United States government has overthrown foreign governments to protect corporations' bottom lines, so the rich mainly benefit from it too despite whatever crumbs are given to the poor to keep their loyalty

In old Russia Caviar, aka fish eggs, is eaten by peasants.
