How about you telling us how Purple Heart compares to Purple Star? Really, I would like to know how you reason that not knowing the difference is unimportant. Someone needs to tell Obama that his new Secretary of State lied about having three Purple Hearts, at least he took one of them down from his website just before the election of 2004. If he is or was, then he would have gotten impeached by now or Congress would be moving to draw up the paperwork to do so.
Correction: you are a Veteran. A civilian is someone who has never served in the military. Whoever the POTUS happens to be is your CIC, simple as that. You may not answer to him or have any obligation to him, but as a Veteran even you can see what I'm getting at.
I am a veteran and also hold two papers that return me to civilian status. One of them would, of course, be my discharge papers issued to me at termination of my active duty and the other would be the paper that was sent to me 5 years after I completed my inactive reserve duty. Maybe some fool lied to me in telling me that I was no longer part of the US Army but Barack Obama is not my CIC. I think if he were such a man he would be paying me. Eisenhower's government paid me.

Now low and behold in a Q & A live Fireside Hangout on Google yesterday with millions of Americans watching across the country, Obama was asked about the republican filibuster of Chuck Hagel. Obama said he was a extraordinary soldier who has two 'Purple Stars'. Good grief.
