Actually they blame the Republicans for blocking those job creation bills the Dems have all written as does the WH.

I have a friend that lost her $500,000 a year Wall Street job three years ago and hasn't been able to find a job. You really can't be saying that receiving $350 a week in unemployment insurance is keeping her from finding another job. The same is true for anyone that lost only a $75,000/yr. job. That UE insurance does is provide a minimal existence, not replace one's former salary.

The meme that unemployment insurance gives people a reason to sit home and watch TV instead of re-joining the workforce is moronic.

Four years and trillions of dollars to get back to the point where it was at its worst under Bush and you're cheering.

It's another piece of hate and misunderstanding that right wingers have.

malamute, that is a good point. How many times has UE been extended. I lost count.

And you think those numbers truly reflect the state of the economy? How naive of you.... Oh sorry Obama, cats out of the bag, at least for some of us.

I voted for Obama and I think the unemployment numbers would be worse if Republicans had more influence in Washington. I just think this monthy job post made on city-data is so redundant and has been going on for years. When we have a steady streak of 250,000+ a month then lets start talking.
