There are a number of restrictions on marriage.
Age of consent.
Blood relation.
Number of participants.
Gender (in some states)
Race (before Loving v Virginia)
Each one has it's own reasons for being there.
The race restriction was removed because there was no valid reason to keep it.
The gender requirement is being removed because there is no valid reason to keep it.
Others may change, but each will have to stand or fall based on it's own merits.
Excuse me the race restriction was not universal, it wasn't even always in place in the states that prevented it. Members if the same gender have been banned from marrying since time immemorial in all corners of the globe.

Wrong. Several civilizations have had same sex marriage. The Native Americans had the two spirit people. They had marital unions just like anyone else and were seen as powerful people.
Gender restrictions aren't currently universal either.
It is a lust spirit . They prefer to exercise that lust spirit whenever they find someone they are attracted to regardless if they are in a emotional reliationship with someone of the same sex.
The gay agenda is to rip down the sanctity of marriage, the holiness of marriage by the perverted act of homosexuality.
It's clear homosexuals are not really interested marriage ( maybe the lesbians) but more interested in gaining acceptance for their deviant lifestyle.
We know gay men are far more promiscuous then heterosexual men. We also know their unions are not monogamous. This is about attention they're like children in that regard.
