Sure...stick me in a shower with a bevy of beautiful woman and I will not even take a glance. If I were aware that the guy next to me in an open shower was gay - I would feel extremely uncomfortable. BUT I have never had that problem...I have never used public showers...I take baths...showers are for soldiers- I am a gentleman.
Speaking of which, the United States military has handled the repeal of DADT without any issues. Soldiers and sailors have been out since September 2011 (and to some extent even before then, but more so since) and this has gone fine. The soldiers and sailors have jobs to do. They've continued to do those jobs.
Oh, but remember what a disaster it was supposed to be? Remember how your crowd insisted it was going to be a debacle? Unit cohesiveness would collapse! Military effectiveness would be undermined! Officers and enlisted would leave the military en masse when their commitments were up!
But none of that happened. Because, as usual, the hysteria -- ignorance and/or lies -- was baseless and empty. And your crowd was proved wrong. Again. And so it will be with days in team sports. Again.
I'm sick of hearing the whining about gay people from anti-gay people.
Well, I guess you and I will never be disappointed because the Gays will have issues and complaints until the end of time no matter how we try to accommodate them it won't be enough.
Basketball, Baseball and Football especially are just not the sports you will find many gay males playing. I realize that even saying this may strike some as politically incorrect. Well it isnt, its just a geneticly grounded fact.
Interesting. I guess we all need to wear rainbows to the next NHL, NASCAR, and other sports events. Looking forward to Gay Pride Day at the next Bulls game. Maybe the Yankees will have '' bring your partner day'', and offer free drinks and hot dogs this summer.
this goes to show gays just insist on talking about themselves into infinity, never is anything ever resolved....even in a simple dumb thing like this.

Positive gay role models vocally confident and accepting of who they are makes things immeasurably better for gay youth struggling with their sexuality and will even save some of their lives. I hope every gay athlete there is comes out of the closet tomorrow.
Going to be lucrative for whomever discloses early.
"“The player who does it, they’re going to be amazed at the additional opportunities that are put on the table, not the ones that are taken off,” National Basketball Association’s Golden State Warriors president Rick Welts told Bloomberg News on Friday.
...
Billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, agrees, as he told Bloomberg in an email: “It would be a marketing goldmine for all involved.”"
Just as that "great" JC Penny campaign, which attempted to "recruit" gay buyers, pro sports "coming out" with gay players will alienate many "customers" and will adversely affect thier business. Ask the recently fired CEO of Penny's and consider that only 10% of the population is gay. I wonder what percentage of gay citizens are avid NFL fans?
After all, pro sports is a business, not a political organization. Thier objective is to make money. Such a measure will cost them tons of money and would be a terrible business move.
Any NFL team that kicked openly gay players off thier roster would suddenly be the most popular franchise in the NFL.
