The subtext of this post is so obvious that it's barely even subtext.

Talk about an instance where conservatives have it so wrong.

The gay agenda? Really?

How about calling it "The rights of United States citizens" agenda?

Many, many, many, many pro athletes disclose their heterosexuality. Should they stop doing that too?

Yes, it is all boring and irrelevent. And tell the media to knock it off too. Why does anybody have to come out and announce anything, hetero or homo. It's about sports, not your sex lives.

I'll slide you into the "You just don't get it!" column.

This is interesting because if a team was unsure if a member was gay and wanted to know for obvious reasons, it would be an ideal indirect way to

flush them out

( don't forget, sports is all about being on a team, and they are competitive natured people. Focus and drive is what it is.

Would a coach really want this BS distraction..? no way, they are on a mission to win and gotta be a unit...as in unity.

It is, isn't it?

Round of applause for the NHL.

What do you think it might be like living your life where you have a wife/girlfriend/family you love but who you can never live with or mention or acknowledge in public in any way.

This whole gay movement is out of control.

These teams are staying over night in hotel rooms and dressing in front of each other including other.

If a couple of players are having a couple of drinks and wind up waking up in the same hotel room, its going to have an effect on the team whether you like it or not....things like that and possible mis interpreted or not mis interpreted glances and all the rest of that junk

you can't have that sht on a team

and then they start grouping and arguing exactly like society, we know this...it is fact

so the only way to achieve order is to demand that sexual disposition is disclosed as part of the portfolio.

if I was on a gay hockey team...I would quit ...or if a few were gay , I would rather pass the puck to the other side, thats a given.

Hey I didn't make up what life is...guys are guys.

Many here are making too much out of what will be a minor event i think.

Contrary to the hopes/fears of many here, there really are not, nor ever will be many gays active in male sports at any one time.

Basketball, Baseball and Football especially are just not the sports you will find many gay males playing. I realize that even saying this may strike some as politically incorrect. Well it isnt, its just a geneticly grounded fact. When/if gay athletes come out, I believe they should be treated with respect and not discriminated against. But for those of you expecting/fearing some great mass onslaught of gays in these pro males sports, dont hold your breath. There will only be a miniscule number active at any one time.

Now womens sports... thats a different matter.
