You keep pointing out this problem. Fortunately the states aren't tightly bound to these mistakes. Fortunately, the state government do not carry out the duty under God's ruling and does not look up to God to teach and judge. The state government's might have this outdated text in their constitution, but they have moved on from it.

Again, you wouldn't want Christianity as a part of the government and teachings of this country would you? Could you imagine how absurd a public school system would be if you started every morning with a religious prayer led by the faculty?

They were also all white men. Some of them owned slaves.

Are we supposed to somehow think that we should be a white, male, slave owning nation because that's what the Founding Fathers were?

I'll answer that for you. No.

Show me where any of the 174 school districts in Kentucy allow anything other than the christian bible to be passed along.

Show me they allow religious studies of world religions; show me where they teach comparative world religions.

This case is in Kentucy in 2013.

The American Empire was built on Christianity. Try telling a Muslim that they can not have a Koran and see how far you get. Americans are push overs. It's not even about Christianity...it is about inheritance of a culture - about tradition - about history....No one group should be allowed to remove a nations heritage.

Would the term "holy book" make you feel better ?

Is this thread not about Bibles in public school ?
Continue to deflect, whatever.

The point is this: Christianity is far more favored in this country than any other, as seen by the tremendous influence it has on legislation that "offends" Christianity. The supposed attacks on said religion are only considered attacks because they have to do with, specifically, Christianity. If a state was passing out Korans in public schools, the same crowd would be rioting in the streets, claiming Obama was indoctrinating our kids and forcing them to accept Shariah law.

What is so difficult to understand about this? No religion in public schools.

Yeah..prior to 1963 public schools were a mess with out of controls students all due to prayers being said in the morning.

So you think Americans are push overs because they're not blowing up bombs and killing people in the streets because our nation doesn't subscribe to YOUR religion?

Aren't you people supposed to be the moral compasses?

Go tell the Gideon Bible people that. I'm not in the schools preaching religion.
90% of the kids that I deal with don't go to any church and probably have no clue about the various religions that abound.

Hint: No.
So, it is ridiculous to argue US is not a Christian nation, when every State Constitution mention God, and majority of the citizens identify with the Christian religion.
