There is NOTHING on the planet more narcissistic than a funeral to begin with. A state funeral is the height of ridiculousness.

Lol @ spending millions in an attempt to "pay respects to the dead" as if she'll be present to watch it....hilarious.

You're right...there is no room for any extra narcissism at such a lame event.

Can you honestly say that if Obama had announced plans to attend, you would praise (or at least refrain from criticizing) that decision?

People expect the president of the US to show some respect to our allies and not to be sniveling and subservient to our enemies like dear leader is.

99% of people would just say oh he's going to Thatchers funeral. Now with this bomb that would all be on hold anyway now but some respect is owed to our allies who have stood with us for years. No Obama instead grabs his ankles and bends for the brudderhood to sock it to him.

This coming from someone who is the obvious arbiter of class.

Class is something Obama has not imo.

But he's a first class imo.

Obama sending official delegation to Chavez funeral - Washington Times

So he sends his respects for one of the most brutal, anti-American leaders in the hemisphere, but can't manage to do so for our strongest ally? Low classs.
1. Chavez was a sitting head-of-state at the time of his death. Protocol dictates what types of delegations are sent under which circumstances.

2. The delegation to the Chavez funeral was of lesser prestige than the President has appointed to attend the Margaret Thatcher funeral, and she had not been a prominent government official for decades.

3. Millions of Brits will tell you Margaret Thatcher was a brutal, anti-Brit who declared war on them and their families by the economic policies she advocated and enacted. There's a reason so many people are singing in the streets ..."Ding dong, the witch is dead."

That was kinda my thought. Who would want someone from the 0 administration at their funeral, for Pete's sake! Joe Biden? That would be good for some last laughs, I guess.

This bears repeating.

Another great attempt at providing actual facts to the intentionally ignorant. Thank you.

I know it won't make the least bit of difference but:

Wow...how sad.
the part that is sad, isn't about Thatcher, but Obama, the not-good-enough-to-clean-Lady Thatcher's-Porta Poti.

But I am not telling you anything you don't already know.
