Same here - in a ginormous covered pan on my stove. It's an ordeal, but worth it!

I like canned figs the best - what about you? Oh, and pears.

Okay, so if I'm in Massachusetts, and want to buy a pressure cooker for some reason, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

The absurdity of pulling the pressure cookers is the issue, not the consumer inconvenience. Almost comical.

You pretty much have to use a pressure cooker to can at high altitude. I freeze tomatoes b/c they don't get so mushy that way.

that usually works, but it's not a high enough temperature to kill off botulism.
