What's wrong with children looking to gay athletes as role models? If he's a good person that is doing good for his community, then that's something should aspire to become. I think most importantly, this will give gay kids someone to look up to and might help them to feel a little less alone.

I applaud Jason Collins for his courage. It's not easy to stand up and blaze a trail for others to follow, but this is bravery and leadership in motion.
