Mail delivery is a priveledge, not a right. If you or your neighbors are threatening the mail man, you probably do not deserve the convenience of having at home mail delivery.
I think it is sort of a right, as it's a tax-funded public service - unless you personally violated their guidelines for "usage" (similar to the rules at a library). So what if YOU didn't threaten anyone, but just happen to live in a bad neighborhood? Is it fair that some elderly woman can't get her prescription in the mail, because her neighbor is a thug? I don't think so.

So, you want to charge people for being poor? You sound like my bank, LOL.

I don't need your reports of a NYC nabe considering that you live in what Portland? The actual residents in the article say it's a bad hood.

Home delivery is not a right of course everything is a right to you Leftists. People used to have to pick up their mail at the Post Office which in some communities was little more than the home of the local postmaster.

I want the post office picking and choosing which neighborhoods to deliver mail to like I want a Republican president. Why do right-wingers champion discrimination?

It's not tax funded.

Only in America. I think the union clause was "hail", not "hail of bullets".
They don't, though. The money is dumped onto their EBT cards every month. Probably the only snail mail they get is bills, which they don't bother to pay. Cell phone bills, Ipad bills, cable bills, etc. Cut-off notices.

Okay, okay... I was obviously mistaken. Sheesh!

I thought that was a government service, but I guess not TAX funded? Officially confused now.

Oh, for f sakes... I'm actually an independent, but of course everything is partisan BS to "you righties."

Interesting how the granddaughter of a MURDERED postman is saying they should still get service, while the rest of you are looking to punish a whole community for the bad apples. And they wonder why the rich keep getting richer, while the poor keep getting poorer? This is a big part of what's wrong with our country, and the elitist attitude is really getting on my nerves - and that also coming from the daughter of a "1%-er," ironically enough. Anyway, I've said my peace, so you continue to argue among yourself and demonize the poor... that is what you righties do best, isn't it?
