YOu folk believe that was not a reasonable thing for the government to do?

This particular case moves over into the health codes. You really want to throw those out.
So because the government failed to do their job you want more regulation?

No one is calling for all these regulations to be thrown out, but you could find a better example than this.

I stopped buying grocery store cow milk 2 years ago. My allergies went away over night.

Just because the govt approves of something does not mean it's healthy. Just because something isn't inspected doesn't mean you will get sick.
No one, huh. Between 1993 and 2006, 1,500 people got sick from raw milk.

There is no question it's a risk but if someone is knowingly taking that risk it's their business.

Exactly like I've been saying, the government wants to be involved in every aspect in American society. Big government is extremely bad for society, at least for normal people.

I was referring to this farmer specifically.

Good job though. You proved about 60 people a year get sick from raw dairy products (as your link covers more than just milk).

That's a public health crises that must be taken care of. 60 people a year fall temporarily ill out of a country of 330 million people. The horror. lols.

How many people get sick every year from eating FDA approved foods? In the tens of thousands, I'm sure. But no problem there. lols.

I want details about your personal experience as a part of that jury.
Sure. What would you like to know?

It was a case of a young man being charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

You said you practiced "jury nullification", I'm guessing that you knew that this person was guilty of the crime, yet pushed for acquittal? You don't see the folly of jurors picking and choosing what laws they are going to convict on? You think that's a good thing?

Also, a marijuana possession charge went to a jury trial? That's awfully unusual.

It was a felony case due to the intent to distribute.

I do not smoke pot, havent since high school 15 years ago, but I also do not believe the government has Constitutional authorization to dictate what people may or may not put into their own bodies, especially given that the substance in question was a plant.

I didnt believe the law was Constitutional.

As John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said:

Quote:
You,the jurors, have, nevertheless, a right to take upon yourselves to judge of both, and to determine the law as well as the fact in controversy"?
