You have clearly not read the Bible - sex was clearly created to promote pleasure.
My grandfather was a Baptist Priest, so I've read the Bible more time that I can count on my two hands. I also attended Sunday School as part of my education back when I was young, until I decided that Relgion was for the birds.

Otherwise, straight couples wouldn't have gay children, since in essence they don't carry a "gay gene", yet numerous straight couples find that their children are gay.

Yes they do. My good friend comes from a good straight couple and raised in a good home. He came out 10 years ago as being gay.
